Post-Op Tips

  • Apply ice packs to areas of surgery for the first 36 hours following surgery
  • After the first 36 hours we recommend transitioning to heat
  • Do not rinse your mouth for 24 hours.
  • After 24 hours you may start rinsing with warm salt-water rinses.
  • A LIQUID DIET IS BEST. Focus on eating foods that do not require chewing.
  • Do not use a straw
  • Pick up the prescriptions on your way home or as soon as possible.
  • If your stitches fall out earlier than 3-4 days, but bleeding is under control, there is no reason to be concerned.
